How to Get a Date
(By the Experts)
A date for the ignorant, it is when somebody has a get together with a member of the opposite sex or whatever of his/her gender preferences. Everybody wants a date but only some are capable of obtaining one. If you have watched the movie "Hitch", you might get a rough idea on what a date is and for the desperate, a few pickup lines you can use.
There are various ways of getting a date, and we shall enlighten you on a few of these methods. The most commonly used way is the romantic way. For the gents, they can TRY to serenade her with a dew romantic songs(guys, take note, ladies DO NOT think Marilyn Manson's bat- biting songs are romantic) to soothe her soul but do not overdo this as you might have an opposite effect and scare her out of her wits. You can also bring her gifts such as chocolates and flowers that she isn't allergic to. These will trick her into believing that you are as sensitive as a gentle little lamb. As for the ladies, normally you just wait! You can also drop a crazy amount of hints but plase take note that men are not accustomed to hints, therefore you will need also a crazy amount of patience.
The next variation you may use is the mofern method. Guys, confidence is the key word here. Women like men who are sure of themselves but still think that women are right 100% og the time. Go up to her and ask her out. No not worry about getting rejected, as the saying goes, no pain,no gain. Another way, is uttilising the technology of communication by sms-ing her. It is highly unrecommended as the women would percieve you as cowardly and insincere. For the ladies of the modern era, you can always do the unpredictable by asking HIM out. Most men like aggresive women. Women are manipulative beings. That is an undeniable fact of life. Therefore, they ahould make full-use of their God-given talent and psycho-twist him into asking YOU out. It's a win-win situation.
Last but not least, the humour method. This is strictly for the male species. You can use humour to break off the tension between both parties. This will enable you to avoid having those dreaded awkward moments. It is a proven fact that laughing stimulates a certain stress-reduction hormone which has an anti-aging effect on women. As we all know, women WANT to look young. I will leave you to do the math. The disclaimer is that lame jokes would have the opposite effect on them. You WILL drive them off. So if you're just not cut-out for making jokes, dont do it, please. Too much of this is also unadvisable as women would think you as more of a clown than a suitable date.
In conclusion, there are many ways of getting a date. Main point is be original as it is the most important aspect in getting one. Good luck and seriously, all the best! =)

In the society we live in, we are surrounded by many diversified cultures. It is essential for us to maintain a good relationship with these people from various cultures, and there are many ways to determining a good long term relationship.
The most important aspects in maintaining a good relationship with people from different backgrounds are respecting and understanding their culture. You should be open minded in order to have a better insight to who they are and where they come from. By doing so, you will show them a level of acceptance, that no matter where they come from they are still accepted into our community. Acceptance is of great importance, thus, placing yourselves into the shoes of others will only help you understand them better. Accepting them for their cultures, traditions and beliefs that are not the same to yours. The second tip is to treat them with equality.
There should be an equal treatment from you towards these folks regardless of their origins and cultures. Next, you should never take into consideration whether one is from a third world country or a developed country. For instance taking an example, when you encounter a German and an Indonasian, subconsciously you tend to treat the Indonesian indifferently ti the German, because of the negative impressions you have on them. You should by all means avoid this attitude in order to maintain a relationship.
Finally, we must not discriminate people from other culture as it will cause a negative relationship to occur. These people from different cultures should never be counted out of your community based on their cultural differences. You should treat them with politeness and proper manners. This way, they will feel welcomed and belonged to your community despite the indifference.
Throughout all the theoretical know-how to maintain a good relationship with people from different cultural backgrounds, we inforce that you should treat them with due respect, understanding regardless of their cultures, traditions and moral values. Baring in mind that you must never discriminate them despite the fact that their culture is a whole lot different from yours. In addition, concluding that they should be treated equally seeing throught the boundaries of race, colour, religion, tradition and the many diversed cultures!

I have enjoyed every single essay written by all of you. Truly, you guys are the best lot of students i have had so far....keep it up! English is fun...as long as you think it is.
