Spread of HIV in Malaysia, 1990-2000

The pie chart shows the spread of HIV in Malaysia from the year 1990 until 2000. The chart has been divided to 8 parts which consists of factory workers, foreigners, long-distance drivers, housewives, uniformed personnel, student, sex workers and homosexuals, each with different percentage.

HIV is also known as Human Immunodeficiency Virus. This virus weakens the body’s immune system, making it less able to fight against diseases and infections. According to the chart, factory workers have the highest spread of HIV disease which consists of 41%. On the other hand, the lowest HIV infectors are the students where there are only 1% of them. The 2nd highest of HIV spread comes from the foreigners with 18% while the 2nd lowest is from the sex workers, 4%.

Factory workers have the highest spread in HIV because most of them are not aware of the danger of HIV. Their lack of knowledge about HIV leads them to not taking precautions while having sexual contact with someone who might be a HIV carrier. Some of them might even have unprotected sex. Plus, some factory workers are drug addicts. They are being infected when they share the same needle with a HIV person.

As for students, some of them get HIV via birth or blood products. When they were in their mother’s womb, their mother passes the virus during pregnancy, since their mother themselves are also HIV carriers. Students who are in their teenage normally infected by HIV trough drug injections, tattooing or even body piercing. Besides, adolescents often think that they are invincible to disease therefore they deny any risk which belief may cause them to be easily infected by HIV.

In conclusion, there are many factors that cause the spread of HIV in Malaysia. Many of them don’t know the risk of having HIV. Therefore, more anti-HIV Campaigns should be organized by the government. So that, more people will be aware of its consequences.

The pie chart shows the spread of HIV in Malaysia from the year 1990 to 2000. Factory workers recorded the highest percentage with 41% and students the least, 1%. Other individual groups like foreigners states 18%, long-distance drivers, 14%, housewives, 11%, uniformed personnel, 5%, homosexuals, 6% and sex workers, 4%. Factory workers carry the largest portion of the chart thus indicates the fact where they lack the knowledge of safe sex and certain precautions for drug-taking. This is however the reverse for students as they are provided with formal education as well as constant guidance from their parents and teachers which keeps them away from unhealthy activities. As for foreigners who recorded the second highest percentage, being jobless in a foreign country pressured them into prostitution and drug abuse which are the two main causes of the spread of HIV. In conclusion, the government should continue to organize campaigns and other form of awareness to decrease the rate of the spread of this deadly virus.

The pie chart shows the spread of HIV in Malaysia from year 1990 to year 2000. Factory workers recorded the highest of all, 41%, followed by foreigners, 18%, long distance drivers, 14% and housewives, 11%. Homosexuals, uniformed personnel, sex workers and students recorded 6, 5, 4 and 1% respectively. As HIV can only be transmitted by means of blood contact or sexual activities, factory workers, being the mostly affected group, may be practicing unprotected sex due to the lack of education. On the other hand, uniformed personnel and students, both requiring discipline in their field, may risk not ruining their future by practicing dishonorable acts as such. Sex workers, knowledgeable in their work field, may have already known the dangers of practicing unprotected sex, took precautions thus the low percentage. Before our country fall into ruins, the government must ensure everyone is made aware of this deadly virus.

The pie chart below analyses the spread of HIV in Malaysia in the year 1990 to year 2000. The pie chart is divided into 8 different categories which consist of factory workers, foreigners, long-distance drivers, housewives, uniformed personnel, student, sex workers and homosexual. Factory workers, 41%, hold the highest percentage of people being affected. Factory workers are commonly from the lower class society which is less educated. Therefore they are not fully equipped with the knowledge on prevention of HIV. The next most significant group of people affected is the foreigners. Majority of the foreigners in Malaysia came illegally. The government’s advice on doing a medical check-up was being ignored. In this case, prevention could not be done because they are not aware that they are the carrier of the disease. Students at 1% have the least percentage of people being affected. Students are taught to be precautious about matters than concern HIV. They are given proper sex education by the school and parents which will prevent them from getting infected. In order to decrease this disease from spreading, the society should take part in activity held by the government, AIDS companies and should make an effort to go for regular check-ups. In conclusion, all parties should co-operate to keep our country clean from this disease.

Human Immunodeficiency Virus or more popularly known as HIV is one of the deadliest incurable diseases known nationwide to strike the human population since the late 90s. Medical researchers have been trying to find a cure for this disease to change the fact from it being a death sentence disease to a curable one for the future of mankind. A survey has been done on this disease for the past decade (1990-2000) and it has shown that factory workers (41%) hold the highest percentage for the cause of this disease followed by foreigners (18%), long-distance drivers (14%), housewives (11%), homosexuals (6%), uniformed personnel (5%), sex workers (4%) and lastly, students (1%). One of the numerous factors which caused the spread of HIV in Malaysia is a big population of factory workers in our country come from poor and underdeveloped countries such as Indonesia and Bangladesh. Their lack of knowledge about the prevention of this deadly disease back in their country caused them to be involved in illegal activities such as consuming drugs like heroin or marijuana which lead them to carry this disease in their body. Students also play a role in the cause of this disease in Malaysia because teenagers these days like to seek for something more interesting and dangerous just for the thrill of it. The feeling of curiosity in them overpowered the “little voice of conscious” in their minds leads them to do something which they know is wrong such as having unprotected sex. Through that action, they will easily get the disease which will cause them their lives. So, the conclusion is our society should be more aware of the deadly effect of this disease and trying to prevent it from happening instead of brushing it off your shoulder by thinking that it is only a small matter that can be easily solved by other people.

The Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) has made airs in the world since it’s outbreak in the late 20th century. According to statistics, majority who suffer from this deadly disease are factory workers with 41%. This is followed by foreigners with 18%. The least two categories are sex workers; 4%, followed by students; 1%. The main reason that HIV is rampant among factory workers is due to lack of sex education regarding the usage of contraseptives, thus leading random sex into this deadly disease. Categorized as less educated, factory workers’ livelihood tends to involve them in the misuse of drugs. Sharing needles thus causes the spread of the infectous disease. Students however show a low record because their infection is usually heriditery. The most important step towards curing this disastrous plague is by educating the public beforehand. Therefore steps to educate children about HIV should be made from a tender age.

The pie chart above shows the percentage in the spread of HIV in Malaysia from the year 1990-2000.The largest percentage is factory workers with 91%.The main reason for this is most probably because factory workers consist of people who are uneducated. Therefore, they don’t really understand the danger of HIV and get involved in unhealthy activities such as consuming drugs and having unprotected sex..Secondly,most factory workers live in the downtown of the city therefore they are more exposed to people who are drug addicts and they can easily get influenced and get infected by this fatal virus. The smallest percentage in the spread of HIV in Malaysia is among students with only 1%.The reason for this is because students are educated and are still under their parents guidance. They are also guided in school by their teachers so that they lead the right path in life.Education is the key to have a healthy live free from HIV.

HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) is the virus that causes AIDS. This virus may be passed from one person to another when infected blood, semen, or vaginal secretions come in contact with an uninfected person’s broken skin or mucous membranes. Today HIV is heard everywhere around Malaysia through medias like television, magazines and articles in the dailys. It is a fact that HIV infection is getting worse each day. The pie chart shows the spread of HIV in Malaysia throughout year 1990 til 2000. It is clearly shown that the majority of people being affected by the disease are factory workers that is 41%,follow by foreigners 18%,long-distance drivers 14%,housewives 11% homosexuals 6%,uniformed personnel 5%,sex workers 4% and d lowest is student that is 1%. There are a few factors that make factory workers stand the highest percentage in this chart. Firstly, majority of the factory workers are not well educated. Some of them may just take this virus for granted because they are lack of knowledge about HIV. These will lead them for not taking any precaution during sexual intercourse where there is a possibility that the opposite sex might be a HIV carrier. In addition, some factory workers attempt to take drugs to release their stress. They used to share the same needle which might bring HIV virus. As we can see that students consist of the lowest percentage. This is because students are well educated and were given sex education in school. As a result, students are more aware of this deadly virus and try to prevent themselves from being infected by it. Normally students will get infected by HIV through body piercing, tattooing and some drug injections. This is why the rate of students are the lowest among the others. In conclusion, the government plays an important role to come up with some campaign or talks to overcome this dreadful problem.

The reason of factory workers having the highest percentage of being a carrier is mostly because most of them are illegal workers. There’s no need for an illegal worker to go for medical checkup as no one is going to ensure their health status. Besides, being a factory worker doesn’t bring in much income. Therefore, buying condoms for safe sex is something unaffordable. Surprisingly, the percentage of sex workers being a carrier is amazingly low. In my opinion, I would say that sex workers, especially in the prostitution industry had made it an effort to protect themselves, as well as protecting their ‘customers’. Constant body checkup and practicing some particular precautions during sex are some examples of them preventing themselves from getting the virus. In short, the government should spread more information about the dangers of HIV through the medias available and they can as well provide free condoms for sex users like what the thailand’s government is practicing.

The spread of HIV has been showing an alarming increase in the past decade, and there are many factors that are related to the problem. Amongst the 2 common carriers, 2 groups that come to mind would be the students and the housewife's. HIV, being an STD (sexually transmitted disease), can only be transmitted by direct contact. This means that HIV is spread to students by either unprotected sex or needle sharing during drug usage. The immature mind of a student, blinded by the idea of having sex, completely ignores the precautions of safe sex, therefore being exposed to HIV. On the matter of housewife’s, the main reason HIV spreads is by unprotected sex. Lonely housewife’s can be misled by any slick talker. Housewives of broken marriages are filled with a sexual desire that needs fulfilling. Overshadowed by such temptations, safe and proper sex is ignored, thus contributing to the increasing number of people infected with HIV. In conclusion, the number of HIV patients can be greatly reduced with the knowledge and practice of safe and proper sex. (PM08)

The rest of the percentage are foreigners, 18%, long-distance drivers, 14%, housewives, 11%, homosexuals, 6%, uniformed personnel, 5%, and sex workers,4%. The probably reason for factory workers have the highest percentage is they do not have enough information about how HIV can spread. HIV is a very dangerous disease, it can spread through sharing needles, sex and blood transfer. Some of the factory workers are drug addicts. They take their drugs by sharing needles among them, thus they will have HIV. Meanwhile the factory workers are lack about the information about safe sex. That the most popular way how HIV can spread. To prevent from getting the HIV, normally the couple use condom while having sex. About the blood transfer, only a few people accidently get the HIV. It happens when the hospital did their mistaked by transfered the blood which contains HIV to other patients. However, most of the student have knowlegde about the HIV. They know the danger of HIV and how the HIV can spread. That why the percentage for student is very low which is 1%. The conclusion are everyone should know about the danger of HIV and how to prevent from it.

Since I'm feeling bloomin smart tonight, I'll copy whatever I wrote in class down here.

"The pie chart seen, shows the spread of HIV and the groups most affected in Malaysia. Topping the chart are, the factory workers. Although many might find this strange, it's rather understandable that HIV spreads most among the factory workers.
One of the reasons for this to happen is because of the use of drugs among factory workers. As they're merely factory workers, they find themselves inferior compared to others. Some find that the career advancement path is extremely dim and feel the future hold no fruits for them, thus they resort to drugs to release tension and make them feel better about themselves. Alas, the very thing that gave them temporary relief and pleasure, is going to be the thing that destroys their life.
Also, as their job nature is very monotonous, this may very well lead to boredom in a short period of time. Thus, in order to escape boredom they might find some rather unsuitable activities during their free time, example: sex. Many a time have factory workers been caught having unprotected sex with their working collogues. Usually, this happens spontaneously when two(sometimes more)individuals become extremely bored. In this case, usually they do not buy condoms to protect themselves and thus, the spread of HIV.
Strange though, students are the 1% that are infected for, it's only legal for them to have sex after 18 in Malaysia. Thus, I believe in order to avoid such cases in the near future, we MUST have sex education for the young ones. Our culture looks at sex talks as dirty talks, but it's actually extremely important to avoid unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases(STD) like AIDS.
Condoms should also be sold in vending machines, much like those that sell snacks for Malaysians are generally very shy when buying condoms. With the setting up of condom selling machines and help of sex education, we can look foward to a drastic drop in the spread of HIV in future.

**Teach! It's hard to estimate the correct number of words. Sorry yah**

according to the pie chart, the highest percentage in the spread of HIV disease is factory workers at an alarming rate of 41%. Next is foreigners at 18%, long distance drivers at 14%, housewives at 11%, homosexuals at 6%, uniformed personnel at 5%, sex workers at 4% and the least is students at 1%. The reason for a decline in sex workers is because the method of practising safe sex is being utilized among them. factory workers are known to consist of foreigners which are not medically checked when they arrive to Malaysia. Not many students engage in sexual relationships as they have no importance for having sex. The groups of homosexuals is quite little compared to other countries. Housewives might not find pleasure with their husbands, thus leading housewives to perform adultery on husbands. In conclussion, safe sex must be practised in order to decrease HIV cases.

The pie chart shows the spread of HIV in Malaysia. Based on the chart, factory workers spread this virus at the highest rate which is 41%, followed by foreigners which is 18%.Some of the reasons why factory workers spread this virus at the highest rate are, because they work on shifts and are idle during night shifts resolving to sexual activities and safe sex is not practiced.Being the second highest rate, foreigners have low moral and principles leading to an unhealthy lifestyle. As for the sex workers, the rate of them spreading the virus is very low which is 4% because they are well educated on sexual risks. The conclusion is, factory workers spread the virus at the highest rate because they practice free sex, followed by the foreigners because of their unhealthy lifestyle and the least spreading factor is the sex workers because they are well educated about sexual risks.

The pie chart shows the spread of HIV in Malaysia during 1990 to 2000. Based on the pie chart, we can conclude that HIV is spread by factory workers in majority, followed by foreigners, long-distance drivers, housewives, homosexuals, uniformed personnel, sex workers and students. Students have the least percentage in the pie chart. This is due to their hectic daily routine which leaves them no time to get involved in activities that may lead to the spreading of HIV. Moreover, students have received sexual education in school. On the other hand, factory workers contribute the most in spreading HIV because they are not exposed to the dangers of indulging in unprotected sex. Another reason is that they change sexual partners frequently. By this way, HIV is spread at an alarming rate. In conclusion, education plays an important role to control as well as prevent the spread of HIV in Malaysia.

The pie chart shows the spread if HIV in Malaysia for the years 1990 to 2000. During that period, the spread of HIV in Malaysia are mostly among factory workers. In fact, through year 1990 to 2000, factory workers accounted 41% of the total spread of HIV in Malaysia and is the highest among all the others.

This was followed by foreigners with 18%, long-distance drivers with 14%, housewives with 11%, homosexuals with 6%, uniformed personnel with 5%, sex workers with 4% and lastly student with 1%. It can be seen from the pie chart that only a small amount of students are infected by HIV virus and it has the lowest percentage of all the others.

Factory workers have the highest percentage of the spread of HIV in Malaysia during the year of 1990 to 2000 is mainly because most of them are low educated. Many of them did not continue their studies to higher level and had stopped their studies very early. Therefore, a big amount of them do not know how to prevent from getting infected by HIV. They do not know how HIV virus could be spread and why the number of people infected by HIV virus is expanding in Malaysia. Without much educational background, factory workers are not widely exposed to any kind of information about HIV virus.

From the pie chart, students have the lowest percentage of the spread of HIV in Malaysia, which is only 1%. Students know more about HIV virus then the factory workers because students are more exposed to it in school. In school, many campaign about HIV are held to provide us more information and the whereabouts of this virus. Therefore, students only accounted 1%, whereas factory workers accounted 41%. There is a total of 40% difference between factory workers and students.

According to the pie chart, we can know that factory workers obtained the highest percentage of the spread of HIV in Malaysia. Meanwhile, students obtained the lowest percentage of the total spread of HIV in Malaysia. Factory workers should get to know more about HIV virus so that they would not get infected by it so easily and this would help to reduce the percentage of factory workers that could get infected by this virus.

The pie chart shows the spread of HIV in Malaysia from 1990-2000. According to the pie chart, factory workers have the highest percentage of HIV virus, 41%. This may be due to the sharing of needles among factory workers in which some of them might have already been infected with the virus through other sources. This will cause the virus to infect all the other factory workers who share that particular needle with the HIV victim. Apart from that, factory workers who engage in sexual activities involving multiple sex partners might also contribute to the high percentage of the HIV virus among them. Ironically, based on the chart, sex workers score a low percentage of 4% of being infected by the HIV virus. This shows that althought these sex workers are more sexually active compared to factory workers, they are also better equipped with the necessary knowledge to protect themselves from the HIV virus. In conclusion, factory workers should be provided with the relevant information and knowledge in order to decrease the spread of HIV among them.

The pie chart shows about the spread of the HIV in Malaysia around 1990 to 2000. There are two highest rates in the spread of HIV in Malaysia around that year and the two groups are factory workers with 41% and followed by foreigners with 18%. Two possible factors that might be the cause of the two main groups in spreading HIV are lack of sex educations and no safety precautions was taken. Lack of sex educations occurred among the factory workers because most of them are not well-educated. So, they get involved in the sex activities that lead to HIV spreading, and another factor happened in foreigners. They did not take any safety precaution while having sex intercourse. They get involved in sex intercourse probably because of the cheap price required for sex service. As a conclusion, sex educations should be taught to everybody since they were still young and held a sex campaign that introduced the bad effects cause by sex without safety precautions.

Spread of HIV in Malaysia from 1990-2000

The pie chart above depicts the spread of HIV in Malaysia from the year 1990 – 2000. The chart focused on eight categories of people – factory workers, Foreigners, long-distance drivers, housewives, uniformed personnel, student, sex workers and homosexuals. Factory workers holds the highest percentage in the spread of HIV in Malaysia with a total of 41%. There are many reasons for factory workers having the highest percentage. Among them are promiscuity, ignorance and drugs. In general, most factory workers come from the lower educated population or they are foreigners. Being ignorant about the ways HIV can spread, they practice unsafe sex. As for the foreigners, being away from home, induces stress upon them as loneliness can set in. As such, they practice promiscuity and indulge in drugs to rid the emptiness and loneliness felt within as a way to escape. This correlates with the high percentage of foreigners infected by the virus which hold a percentage of 18%. Another high risk group are the long-distance drivers. They travel extensively all over Malaysia and at times to neighbouring countries to deport goods. Again, being on the road all the time and away from family, causes sexual tension and job stress which leads them to seek sexual outputs outside home. Being in this class group, most of them are not highly educated and they are not well informed on the dangers of unprotected sex. This causes ignorance among them about the spread of HIV. They are at high risk of infecting the virus and infecting their spouse on their return home. Thus, housewives holds a high percentage of HIV infection, which is 11%. Factory workers, foreigners, and long-distance drivers will continue to be high risk groups as long as they are not educated on safe sex and loyalty to their spouses as unprotected sex and promiscuity are the main factors that contribute to the spread of HIV in Malaysia.

It can be derived from the pie chart given that factory workers represent a staggering 41% of the population infected by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) in Malaysia. Meanwhile, the second highest percentage of people diagnosed with HIV is foreigners at 18%. Several deductions can be made from these statistics. In general, most factory workers in Malaysia earn low wages. Low income promotes social illnesses amongst factory workers, mainly because tight budgets force them to seek different modes of entertainment. Most succumb to cheap/free sex for pleasure. In addition, majority of factory workers come from poor family background. Many are uneducated and are not aware of the causes and ways of preventing HIV. Therefore, random and unprotected sex and prolonged consumption of drugs are common among factory workers. Undeniably, the booming sex industry in Asia is the main cause of the spread of HIV. It is a known fact that most spouses “vacationing” on foreign land have a tendency to indulge in “sex with no strings attached”. Some foreigners are accustomed to a culture that considers sex with multiple partners’ normality. Moreover, some might come from societies with a high rate of drug abuse and violence. On the other hand, long-distance drivers can also be labeled as a high risk faction, along with housewives. Working long hours can cause stress and anxiety, leading to promiscuity. Many regard sex as means of releasing tension. When these promiscuous husbands (assuming that most long-distance drivers consist of men) return home, they involuntarily spread HIV to their wives. Majority of the population are not aware that HIV can be easily contracted, especially through bodily fluids. In conclusion, the government should take proper measures, such as educating citizens about Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD), working to reduce the high rate of drug abuse, and controlling the rapid growth of the nation’s sex industry to stop the spread of HIV.

The pie chart shows the spread of HIV in Malaysia between the years 1999 to 2000. It is shown in the pie chart that the spread of HIV is the highest among factory workers which is 41%, followed by foreigners which are 18%. Spread of HIV is lowest among the student which is only 1%. Other group of people involved in the spread of HIV include long distance drivers(14%), housewives(11%), homosexuals(6%), uniformed personnel(5%), and lastly sex workers(4%). There are many factors that contribute to the spread of HIV in Malaysia. One of the main factors is the lack of knowledge on the spread of HIV. HIV can be spread through unprotected sex and sharing of infected injecting equipment. The sharing of such equipment mainly occurs among drug addicts. Most factory workers are uneducated or received minimal education which explains why the spread of HIV is the highest among factory workers. They are not aware of the dangers that HIV pose to their health. Another factor is that we are easily exposed to negative influences such as porn, western reality series, movies and culture. All these are easily available on the internet, television and other form of mass media. This would then spark curiosity among students which explains why students are also involved in the spread of HIV. Some adults are also influenced by the western culture. Immediate actions should be taken to educate the nation on the dangers that HIV can cause. One of the steps that can be taken is giving talks on the ways that HIV can spread and as well as help those who are infected with HIV.

From the pie chart, factory workers are the main factor that stimulates the spread of HIV. It's ,mainly because factory workers work without supervision and especially during night shift; factory workers are usually left alone to work by themselves. Without proper security and no obsevation, they tend to indulge themselves to self satisfaction and lust. This results to free sex with various partners and eventually lead to the spread of HIV. Factory workers are also consist of non-educated people. They are not properly thought of sex education. In conclusion, factory experiencing such problems should take the extra step to enforce and tighten up their security to create a healthier enviroment of work place.
